The aim of STAARS is to raise as much as possible and remember that EVERY PENNY raised goes back to the riders. Following the demise of the Prowlers (the Sheffield Conference League team) we have been assisting those members of the Tigers Premier League team who would most benefit from our help. James Cockle and Paul Cooper received regular payments for each meeting they rode in this year, and we also made a significant contribution towards a "Sheffield" engine for Joel Parsons. The total paid out this season was just under £3,000 and brings the running total to £29,870. All this was made possible by around about forty members. Imagine how much more could be done with YOUR input. We would love to offer even greater support to our team and would like to have the wherewithall to start up a proper hardship fund to call on when someone has an expensive mechanical disaster.
